Hey guys ive almost got my sierra goin, it will start and run for between 5 seconds and 2 minutes then just die and sometimes misses etc... ive drained the fuel there was alot of crap in there including rustsy fuel and leaves @_@. ive replaced fuel filter, oil filter, replaced oil, new spark plugs, and turned it over to get any crap out when the spark plugs were off, i also have used carby cleaner too. i suspect the idle jet may be blocked, should i take it off and blow through all the lines with air hose?

also have put in new fuel.

i found the problem, i blew the fuel line back down towards the fuel tank and took the filter off so it blew on the ground, lots of black chunks came out @_@ then i blew all the jets and reversed spark plugs 2 and 3 so that it blows back up through the carby then started it and it runs sweet, ill have to re do this every few days for a while untill its fully cleared up. but shes alive !!! :)

If you've got that much junk in the fuel, you should take the tank out and clean it out, because when you start going offroad you'll shake up the tank and you'll keep having problems.
