alright after thinking the input seal was leaking i replaced it and it was still leaking. so i looked harder. and found a hairline crack and could see the oil bubble out off it. the crack is if you look up at the tcase and think the input seal is leaking at the bottom theres a hairline crack there, if you can understand that.

to repair.....

option 1- drill each end of the crack with a 2mm drill and put some oil resistant silicon/expoxy over it. or just put silicon/expoxy stright over the crack

option 2- weld crack (i am able to do it yes i know its alloy)

options 3- probably the best option replace caseing.

because its long weekend and nothing is open i would say option 1 is probably the best and then get a new case when i can.

what would cause this crack? i have 6.1 gears and a roctoy

Is there a seam in the cast there? Possibly vibrations?

Go with your plan of dodgy patch up and then replace when you can

cause the gears break cases, dunno if its bad design or just too much load on the case

roctoy was made to make strong mounts easier to fab, they dont make the case any stronger!!!!!

I would replace the case

you answered your own question in your last line.

combine large tyres and 6.1 gears the case will eventually fatigue or fail. they were never designed for those loads.
