i bought this off OL and was meant to be a good condition vit carby, however
it is missing a few bits plus i thought the vit carby had mechanical secondary.
have i done my cash?

yep mate, same as the one i just had rebuilt!

Its obviously been fitted to a sierra, its had the 3 pin plug put on it.
Is the black and white wire connected at all?
The carby guy that rebuilt mine, actually takes a piece out of that part (emissions) so that it is open and breathes all the time, making it problem free.
It breathes into the charcoal cannister.

yes its a vit carby. the only thing it seems to be missing is a 1 way valve for the choke vac line, but otherwise is complete. make sre that black and white wire gets hooked up to ign+ and don't hot-rod anything inside the bowl. that wire is for the bowl vent. supaglue the mixture needle now(the tamperproof bit) while it is off the eng, it will allow you to adjust by hand.

No charcol canister on Shep's suzi, there is a battery in the way

thanks fellas, i think i will hot rod (remove) the choke and idle up stuff as the
choke butterfly is missing and a few of the vac line fittings are bent
and broken. are parts readly available for this carby as the vac
secondary diaphragm is a bit sus

i haven't had a working charcoal canister for a while because my car fills
up with fuel fumes when it is hooked up properly it did make a good spot
for diff/gearbox breathers though

if your going to remove choke might as well chuck on a weber!


they are a makuni as used on lots of mitsubishis......parts are available....just hunt around wreckers for sigmas and magnas.
