Hey guys,

I have been reading here for a few weeks now and im trying to work out the best way to do a RUF. I was thinking in a worse case i get a Yellow if i have welded the crap out of everything it might make it difficult to revert back.

What are your thought on the bolt on RUF kits, like the picture below??

Im aiming to fit 30/31's with no body lift. Only spring and shackle.

I have 31's on 2" spring lift, along with fatzooks shackles and run 31" km2's with no scrubbing at all, no RUF...

That's a good point. I don't think those brackets are going to work on an NT car - the NT spring hanger is a very different shape to the WT hanger.

There's no need for RUF to run a 30 or 31, but there will be a need for bumpstop spacing to run a 31 on the front without a body lift.

Quite apart from that though, you're likely to need some rim offset and jiggerypokery to get a 31 to have full lock on an NT.

Inner guard/shock mount clearance will also be a problem with 31's, and this will only get worse with the added articulation of RUF.

i brought this kit off 2stroker. i don't know if the bolts will be stronger enough tho so i will still weld it on but if it needed to changed i don't think it will be that hard.

I wouldn't weld it i think u would be doing more harm then good ur talking about welding 2or 3mm of steal to 6mm plate u may weeken the chassi and cause the material to tare away from the weld, I'm not taking the piss or trying to shoot u down.
If u wanna strengthen it more maybe plate the chassis.

I personally would not bother, it fits in nice and firm so the bolts actualy just stop it from sliding out of the chassi . It even has a radius cut into the side plates to help hold it against the chassis tighter.

Maybe u could make a plate that runs down the two mounting and Down to the original shackel mount if u were worried

Okay i wanted to do a RUF purely to get a bit more articulation out of the front and possibly a smooth ride.

Which ever way I go I need to be able to bolt a bull bar on.
