Hey guys, i know theres a lot of different opinions on suspension lifts, but i have a sj40, when i got it, it already had a spring over conversion done but the springs are shagged, i've been looking at the calmini 5" lift kit (3" springs and 2"shackle reversal kit), has anyone used this?? and is it a good kit?? i want to run 33" muddies, is there a better way of lifting my zook up?? is so wat?? any advice would be good, thanks.
you don't need to lift it up that high to run 33s. Infact the higher you go the more unstable it is, this also efects your capability. Just keep the shagged springs as they more than likely will flex better than anylift spring.

i have used the springs and shackles plus a few other bits from the 5" kit.
i think the front springs are 3" and the rears are 4" as i put the rear
shackles on the front to level it out. in my sierra the springs are great, if
any thing the rears could be a bit stiffer, however the shockies
are crap. would i use them again? yes, but only as there is no chance of getting a legal soa lift done here.
if i was you i would just replace the springs with whatever standard
springs you can find.
