Have you got an evap canister on there? I have heard of them filling with fuel when one of the valves associated with it sticks. Otherwise the carb overflowing would be a prime candidate but there should be an overflow pipe.

Ok got the car back from the mechanics. He's saved me a bit of cash and told me to do the oil change cause it still smells a bit like it might have a bit of petrol in it.
Awesome mechanic. He ran me through the whole process, Only charged me for three hours instead of four and basically saved my pride and joy. Shep recomended him and I'll put my tick of approval as well. If your car needs to hit the mechanics over the auszookers meet up in Katherine go to Andys Auto.
The problem was that the timing and Carby was out to shit.
Cars running like a dream now. Love it.
