I realise about the amperage in the car stereo world Royce... However my main point is that you buy the correct tool for the job.
My neighbor has used AMP cable for his battery relocation on his xr6 ute (back into the tray). Had it there a few weeks and its already showing signs of insulation wear.
The cable could be cheaper because they source it from cheap chinese importers maybe? Is it REALLY ofc? Chinese rules are a bit less stringent on that sort of thing.
Your choice of course. I know what I would be doing/did do. Would hate to see an engine fire.
Lets put the OFC thing aside shall we, first of all its a wank, second of all it will never relate to power cable, third of all no welding or other DC high current cable is going to be OFC cause well, its a wank
Insulation wear means he hasnt installed it properly, and in reality dual batteries under the bonnet of a jimny is a fair way off a battery relocation in a Falcon
The cable could be cheaper cause the shop selling the other cable could have a higher margin on it too, price means didly shit when comparing cables.
Any proper not undersized for its marking branded by a reputable company and more importantly properly terminated cable designed for car audio power amplifiers is going to be fine for dual battery stuff, its doing the same thing, moving some power from one end to the other.
Some might say welding cable probably wasn't designed for underbonnet heat either but nobody seems to be jumping up and down saying its no good are they
