Hey guys as the title says all I need to get my Sierra running is finding out which plug goes we're and what connections I need to change, so if you have done this conversion could you please put pics up or advise me were they go, mainly the ones that are on the Carby.

Are you running the G16a Carby?

Yeah that's the term for Carby and G16b is fuel injected.

Yeah i realise that.. however they're are different carbys available to suit, for instant i'm running my g16a with the sierra g13ba carby. So i'll go with the assumption that you are running the g16a carby?

Hey mate, all wires will most likely go to same locations they did on the original engine. The fittings are different on a few of them. Simply cut them off and join the fitting on that came off the loom of the g16a. I think it is alternator, and a few sensor wires. The only pain in the ass is the plug that comes off the carby. It has 4 wires, and your sierra loom only has 3. 2 of the wires can be bridged together to form 3 wires in total off the carb. Can't remember which exactly, I may be able to find some photos if you need them. Also keep in mind there is the temp sensor off the thermostat, which uses the same style plug as the starter motor, so if she won't start, then they are round the wrong way. Hope this helps.

Thanks mate, all I need to know is which of the two out of the four wires I need to connect and I have a single little white plug which I can't find a home for.

Hey mate I have been trying to find the photos dave sent me originally but can't seem to. He helped me sort it and it worked a treat. Wires on my car all taped up unfortunately.

Me to! Just need to get the exhaust re bent, won't be going for another 3-4 tho, my dad is going up north for the V8s and I still have 46 days till I can get my learners

I'm cutting the loom end and replacing it with the vitara plug ( wires were to short for my like to solder ) so im going to join what ever wire go together on the vitara carby plug and hard wire them into the sierra loom. here is a few pics, some of them came out looking like the carby is on the wrong side sorry.
