Can anyone tell me what is the point of a transfer case drop bracket ?
I got one with my 2" FTS suspension lift kit but never installed the bracket when we put the suspension in. Seems to run fine so far 8 months later..
It got me thinking tho whats the use for it ? An will i be slowly wreaking any drive train with out it in.
Cheers

It defiantly not the a-ram ball joint spacer for the rear diff, i do have this spacer on my truck tho.
I will pull a pic from the net an post it.
From memory the transfer case drop bracket lowers the T/C 1". I suspect this is to re-inline the drive shaft angle to the diff and eliminate the funny slant or angle the axle case on by pushing the diff back a tad ? Of course don't quote me on this as its the only logical explanation i can think up at this stage...

it's a low profile/dropped transfer case cross member, i ran one in my 2.0 SWB vitara for a few years with no drama's after destroying the standard one on a nasty rock garden... still need to transfer it over to the LWB.
