Hi. Well I have owned my zook sj70 for two whole weeks and love it.
Big grin when driving it.

However I need to get it a rwc.

I have seen Fatzook who has given me some advice and help already.
But I have a wiring issue that I'm hoping I can either pay someone to solve or even better can go round to someone's and learn.

The issue is

Front bar was replaced and led indicators fitted by previous owner when I bought it but indicators were not wired up.
When I connected them they work but when turn headlights on it blows fuse to dashlight etc.

This seems common from searching the forum and earthing issues seem likely.

I disconnected led indicators replaced fuse and all good again.
I then ran wires from the side wing indicators to the front led and they work and when i turn lights on the fuse doesn't blow. So im guessing the issue is around headlight connections I guess where the front indicators wiring comes from..

I have also discovered my dipped or side lights don't work. Not sure they did when I got it. I thought they did but i cant be certain. I know that's terrible but I'm an idiot main and full beam work fine

I looked at the bulbs and they seem ok but not certain.

Now I have no testing equipment and know I need to buy a multi meter as these issues will crop up every now and then. But I'm embarrassed to say I really wouldn't know what I'm doing with it. Never learnt that stuff.

So what I'm asking is anyone Northside of brisbane willing to spend some time to teach an idiot about this stuff and help solve the problem for cash or beers.

i really want to learn to do my own repairs.

Alternatively where is a good place to take it and pay someone without getting shafted.

Is the LED Unit a Combination Indicator/Parker lamp?

If you get really desperate I'm down on the gold coast, super busy but could probably help.
Surely there's someone up there that can help you out, otherwise maybe some details of where you hooked stuff up, maybe even some pictures and we might be able to get you going from here.
It's a 12v dc electrical system, so it shouldn't really be that hard, even for a beginner if you're willing to learn you should be able to nut it out.

Do a bit of google work to check out how you would connect a multi meter to measure voltage in a 12v dc electrical circuit and that should give you a basic understanding. Then you can work up from there.

The led is indicator only.
Headlamps are standard.
Got a mate looking tomorrow who is a motorbike mechanic and a bit of a guru with engines. Hoping he's good at electrics.
Once I have spent some time with him. If still no luck i will post back with what we did and findings.

Sounds like a crossed wire somewhere back from your LED indicators. Easiest way to learn is to follow the wires back and see where they are joined into and check with a multimeter or test light for power. Maybe as simple as a power wire going straight to earth causing the fuse to blow.

My sj70 has combination front lamps so maybe the have some how spliced the Parker wiring into the indicator harness by accident
