how do you get a stuck axel off? they have been out befor but this time she just doesnt wana come out

im guessing it is the rear axle?
Use a slide hammer, if you dont have one get a piece of chain about 2ft long. Attach it to one of the studs in the break drum, use a wheel nut to hold it in place and give it a good pull.

ive done what ridge said basicly almost tiped the car off the jacks!

get someone to hold force from the axle to the axle housing with a crow bar (tricky), and hit the end of the axle with a big hammer shocks them out

ol skool method. = some may not like this.. but I only do this on really stuck ones and when theres no slide hammer available.


Loosen all 5 wheel nuts to half out the thread... and undo everything.. and use the wheel with the tyre as a slide hammer.. by putting your boot on the leaf and yankin the tyre in and out until the bearing pops out.

works every time..

I dont really like doing that as it can damage the wheelnut threads, but Ive done it as last resort.

got it off. the reason it was so tight is because the spline on the axel is twisted! time for some after market ones i think.

i made up a bit of flat bar with 2 hole drilled in it and bolted it to the axel then used a BFH to wack it off
