Got some Narva rocker switches, and they have a secondary light on the switch that is supposed to come on with your dash lights, e.g. come on when you turn your Parkers or Headlights on. Now I know of a few wires, such as the ash tray light and etc that come on when the lights are on, I was thinking of tapping of this wire for the rocker switch, but I was just wondering if there is a closer alternative, maybe one you guys have used before? My switch is going to be where my power mirror controls are, so it seems stupid to run a wire all the way to the ash tray. Anything closer? maybe the fog light switch?

You can tap any backlit control - I don't recall the power mirror control being backlit, but there will be other switches nearby, and possibly unused switch wiring - look for a red/yellow wire.

I got impatient and wired it to the gear shifter lights hahah. thanks anyway.
