Thought id start this post dedicated to lockers available for the SQ series of Grand Vitara.

What fits and how???


I know any locker that can be fitted to a Vitara can be fitted to the GV but mods are required to the front diff.

Lockrights....

All Sierra and Vitara lockrights Fit the GV.
Sierra and Vitara lockrights are technically the same locker but the Sierra kit gets new cross pins (and is Cheaper). you decide if you wand couplers or not.


Front...26 spline (2 pin)

Front diff requires install of a Vitara centre and manual hubs Re use GV 26spline side gears with 1510/1530. WILL NOT FIT IN THE AIR OPERATED CENTRE. A cross pin support block is required and may need some die grinding to allow LHS axle to lock in properly.

Rear.....26 spline(4 pin)

Install according to instructions in lockright kit for sierra 4 pin or Vitara rear. (extra shims may be needed)


Airlockers......

Front.

Same deal as a lockright. Need a Vitara centre and manual hubs.

Rear. Unsure af Vit airlocker will fit as centres are slightly different. If you want this and ratio is the same get it fitted to a Vitara rear and bolt that in.


Eaton Elockers.......

Oh and according to the lockright website there is a locker listed for the Grand Vitara.

Lockright part No 1520. No idea if its different or not.
