I'm a little confused with the GVM of my trayback maruti: my understanding was it was only 1400kg, this is based on everything i've read from here and pretty much everywhere else, but having just received my registration sticker, the paperwork that came with it lists the GVM as 1900... am i correct in assuming this is a f**k up on their behalf?? loading it that heavy just seems like a terrible idea

When I first bought my Maruti the GVM gave me issues also. Tare and GVM were identical on the rego papers.
A ute that can't carry any load!

It was amended as part of the blueslip process (NSW inspection for vehicles unregistered longer than 90 days).
Nothing physical was altered, they just increased the GVM to something "reasonable" following a weighbridge check.

My guess would be that because they are not a factory tray back different dealers may have interpreted the paperwork differently when they were first registered.
