I have a SV420 SWB Vitara, I'm not sure, but I think it has this kit fitted:

However, mine does not have the adjustable camber bolts.

It definitely has Procomp rear shocks, it has black springs and front spring spacers that look like the ones in the kit.

Can anyone suggest good front shocks that would give good travel and be a decent match for the rear shocks? I would prefer them with adjustable camber slots in the bottom.

I'm running Dobinsons front struts, with a pair of their strut boots to protect the strut shafts. I fitted a pair of camber adjuster bolts, no need to slot the holes in the struts. I've found the Dobinson struts to be very good. Been in there around 15000k's so far. I'm also running an SV420, with 50mm spring spacers.

I would prefer a set of shocks that have camber slots in them, it saves the cost of a set of camber bolts. Do you know which shocks have the slots?

Also, did you go with longer travel shocks?

The really cheap chinese made struts (FTS Extreme) have camber slots. They are junk. I don't think you will find a product worth intstalling which has slots. I would also trust a properly torqued camber bolt to hold it's alignment better than a slotted hole. A camber bolt also allows for precise setting of camber as the camber changes discretely with rotation of the bolt which has an arrow indication on it. Setting camber other than max or min adjustment with slots wouldn't be as easy. I bought mine from Bits4Vits. Probably paid less than $50. Locally they are $120.

I have Ironman struts in my Vit. They supposedly have the same travel as Dobinson ones but supposedly slightly more (5mm) extension as measured by other forum members. When I did a search, these were the longest ones I could find specs for. I have had mine for 40K km, and no failure so far.

From memory, I paid around $40.00 delivered for Eibach camber bolts via eBay. The Dobinsons are from memory around 30mm longer than stock, don't quote me on this though. If you go too long, you run into half shaft angle issues, putting excessive strain on CV joints. To prevent this, you need to drop the front diff to correct the half shaft angles, this also applies to flipping the strut mounts to get more droop from the front end. So far, I've had no problems with front end geometry with the Dobinsons and 50mm spring spacers. I have not flipped my strut mounts.
