hey guys just looking for peoples opinions, i own a 95 sierra stock 1.3 with 150,000 kms. I recently got the carby rebuilt as i felt it needed to be. it had a full rebuild 3 weeks ago and has been going perfect till last week. It idles around 1400-1700rpm which doesnt bother me i will fix it soon but It has started stalling randomly. It ran fine for 2 weeks. what is happening is most times when you start the car it will start then instantly die, and other times are when your driving and come to a stop and idling it will just slow die, even if you blip the throttle it just dies. But starts up again straight away.
Any ideas? thanks

To me it sounds like a fuel problem.
Have you changed the fuel filter?
If so blast the fuel lines out or replace them.

Sounds like it might have some crap in the bowl in the carb? Do you drive it every day? Idle jet is small and does not take a lot to play up?

Take it back to whoever re-built it. That way you should be able to get a proper diagnosis for free but it does sound like a partially clogged idle jet.

New rear filter and add another one between mechanical pump and carby. Have you been though some deep water or mud recently or run the tank empty alot?

Didn't get time today pretty busy till the weekend now, do you know what part number the rear one is? It had ribbed off on the current one and what type do you recommend running as a 2nd filter?
Thank

Thank If you're talking about filters, just say an inline low pressure filter, to suit a sierra with a g13ba. The parts guys will find them piece of piss. Same filter between fuel pump and carb as far as I know, unless I'm missing something. Edit: g13ba in your case.

so it's sorted itself out idling at 800 now. But today took it to the shop to get some repairs and drive it home fine, went to take it to the shops and it overheated. Checked the cap and this is what I found. Will post a pic soon
