Hi peeps,can anyone give me some insight on the following;painted rims on the jimny and noticed that one of the front wheels sits out 10mm and the other 20mm when running aline from the guard down to the hub.
The car has had a 50mm lift and drives straight,pan hard is standard and not bent ,didn't notice it until today ,any suggestions on whats causing this ?

The pan hard was designed for standard height not 50mm lift.

i thought that might be it,did get airborne twice last weekend ,wheeling hard ,so wondered if something got bent.Lift been on for about 6months and i suppose i never notice the front being out till i was gazing at the sparkly rims.haha
Can i just do the front pan hard and leave the rear ?

I've wondered this myself and given my 50mm lift kits in the mail do I need adjustable pan Hards? Does it have much effect on how the car Drives? Several other threads suggested they don't serve a lot of use on only 50mm.

I would suggest that both should be done to keep the front and rear wheels in line.

Thanks for the feedback everyone ,just measured the back and its the same.And it only took me 6 months to notice
So many people suggest its unnecessary for our 50mm lift ,hard to know sometimes what opinion is correct

sur5a - is yours a dobinson or efs 50mm? did you get the correction bushes?

Hey Dan,I've got trail master from jimnybits with correction bushes,before i put the bushes in the front springs were slightly banana bent ,but straightened up with the bushes.I did get diesel front springs ,are firmer than standard

thanks mate. was it noticeable without the correction bushes? im not sure if i should get the bushes or maybe arms or not worry about it. can you notice any bad habits driving wise without the panhards?

the steering felt crappy before the bushes,but is fine now ,i took the arms off got bushes pressed in and wheel alignment done,haven't really noticed anything with the way the panhards are but will be getting adj. ones in the near future,i would just stick with bushes .

Some 50mm kits actually are a bit higher than 50mm. Generally a 50 lift wouldn't require panhards but if the slight off centre axle line bugs you get adjustables. Caster correction bushes will improve the steering feel and stability in any lifted Jimny.

I convinced myself and have some tough dog panhard coming and will get some bushes as well or maybe even Arms? I'm spending money now so may as well just buy arms lol

Probably go the same route you did Dan,your jimny will feel and handle the way its meant to once you get it all in.

Tough dog panhards are the best I have found on the market
