I have a speedwerx bender but it's still not great at small radius bends, and won't really do more than 90˚.
I'd be getting a JD2. Much nicer to work with than the speedwerx.
There's no comparison between either speedwerx/JD2 and a normal press pipe bender like a Dawn or chinese copy of a dawn.
Steve.

Only good for thick walled pipe. Ie. Water pipe. It will crush any medium to thin walled pipe.
The others listed are draw benders with dies on both sides of the pipe. Ie Curved and staight dies which support both sides as the pipe bends which prevents kinking. Looked at the price of the JD2 about $550 - $600 plus 32nb Dies add $315.
Next step is to add mandrels but I thik this is past the home workshop level.
You can buy bends and weld to the ends of the pipe just depends what result you are trying to achieve.
I have all the types of benders listed and welded bends.

i've been using a speedwerx for the last month or so. would never but one after using one. not a one person operation when you start to bend rollbar main hoops etc. i will probably buy a jd2, try trick-tools on ebay ,they're from tennasee in the usa but ship world wide and have a buy now price for under $1450 aust dollars.

These guys sell the JD benders and dies in Australia
http://opw.com.au/fabrication.html
By the time you stuff around trying to freight these to Australia it works out cheaper just to get it locally.

this looks like the way to go. it is a shame that you have to buy the dies seperatly though.
