You legend, that's exactly what I've been on about as far as vit transfer for duals in a Sierra! Are you still going to have to move the sierra transfer case back? I am yet to borrow a vit transfer to measure up.

Borrowed a transfer and pulled it apart, was wondering how you shortened it up whether you cut the front output section off and had to come back to check this thread, how have you sealed the front output up?
I'm wondering if it would be possible to re-make the middle part of the transfer case out of steel, it would only require the rear plate and a front ring for the bolts, to bolt to the front part of the transfer, maybe make the plates and case out of 6mm steel or so, would have to get everything lined up perfectly though when making it!
EDIT: Saw that you've cut the front output off, I'm also thinking the shaft will need to be cut down (going by the length of the jackshaft I have that goes from the box to transfer with transfer in standard position) which wouldn't be a problem since the bit to be cut off is only hanging out the end anyway.
I want to take the flange off the input of my sierra transfer to confirm the splines are all the same before I go too much further, just got to grab my mates socket set first!

the axle needs to be shortened a view inch i cut it of and then machined the inside so it could take the sierra case threaths and i don't have to cut a good sierra case it's a matter of getting closer and closer and measer twice for everything i think i pulled it apart and build it up about a thousend times but i'm getting to the end slowly now some pics are missing but i had 3 rings machined out 1 for the bearing inside the case 2 for the coupler between the cases 3 for the seel of the axle i'll try and find those pics back for ye till then start drewling

Spoa on sammy axles 32bfg mk2 1600carb engine dualTcase powersteering exo cage but thats for next year i'll start with welding and driving nearly standard
