hi all
i have a sierra hard top 5 speed
when i take off in first i get w wiring sound like i have something off centre and get worse as the speed increases
when i change into second the noise goes away and stays away for the rest of the gears and speeds
if i drop speed in second there is no noise
ive checked all oils and no metal is present
i have also jacked up the rear wheels and the noise goes away when i have it in first
not sure what it could be
the unis are fine and have no play (could they be too tight?)
hope some one can shed some light on the matter

all sorted it was the gear box
i changed it and the noise has gone
