I've got 1 litre tray back that I would like to put a 1.6 into, now before someone says sell it and start with a 1.3 I'm not going to be doing that, can't part with it lol

Anyway What's the difference in this conversion not being a 1.3 to begin with? I understand custom engine mounts will need to be made and somehow line them up,but will I also have trouble fitting a 5 speed Sierra box in the tunnel? Will I have problems with the dash/speedo fitting the vss ? Other issues ?

I have put a Gti motor into a Sierra before so im familiar with change overs but that was 1.3 to begin with and went Preety smoothly

The conversion will depend on what SJ40 you have to start with.

Type 3 has the same Speedo gauge as the 1.3, so VSS install will be the same as for G16B into 1.3.

Type 1 or 2 will be an earlier type. You'd have to look and see if the VSS will fit or fab something up.
