I've managed to smash up my door pretty badly and have been looking at buying a second hand one. I have a 1997 JLX vitara with the rare 4cyl 2.0L. I was wondering if anyone knows if a door off a 1.6L will fit it as I've heard they are a different shape. Thanks.

Door pressing is the same. They do have different trims both inside and out.
Swb doors don't fit a LWB and vice versa.

Jump on gumtree, depending on where you are location wise have a look at some of the people wrecking vitaras.
I have a silver coloured SV420 and did see a silver softtop of the sv420 being wrecked. Depends on what color car you have, you might get lucky!

Sorry cant help on fitting similar vitara doors to yours.

Thanks for that both of you! I've managed to find one that should fit but seeing as I live in Tassie it's costing a bit to get here, that's the life of a Tasmanian!
