well last night some scumbag decided my jimny needed scissers in its locks instead of a key ... I've been told they are regularly broken into and stolen here in tassy .
to combat this I've opted to fit solex locks although solex doesn't make locks for the jimny , so I brought some vk -vl commadore ones and used the locking arm and I made them work here's how I did it for anyone interested ......
purchase this model solex lock Nul1250
then pull out the original lock and dismantle the arm from the lock spindle sorry forgot to take this pic
then grab a small file and file off about 1mm the large side of the I.d of the indexing hole
after this refit the locking arm and circlip and walla solex in a jimny .
fitted !
