I'll stand by those comments except that larger autos can be fitted without tunnel work. I believe the 1.6 auto NGV uses an M16 with an Aw-4

I generally do drive carefully and I find that the car is quite efficient now that it seems to be running good.dont need a lot of throttle to get it going.

It's not an apple thing. Are you using photobucket?
You might be surprised when the transmission is at its hottest.

Do you think that these trans can handle some shit or is a meltdown inevitable? I generally drive quietly.

yep, 99% of the pics here are hosted elsewhere and the image link to the url is posted here. just keep in mind that new engine has more power and more torque then the stock so unless you are puting your foot down and drive it like it is a m13 your still pushing the drive line, tyres and breaks harder

Couple of interesting numbers there-
54% more torque on a gearbox that's already at it's torque peak. That's nothing to do with driving style- anything over about 50% throttle through the midrange will see the transmission beyond rated torque.
Secondly, the M18 is 47% more powerful than the M13, yet tekno saw a 31% increase at the wheels. Perhaps running the M18 on the m13 ecu isn't really the hot ticket. As I said, if love to see A/F at both WOT and at light throttle. Hard to believe there's 47% fuel trim in an M13 ecu

all i can think of steve is using the M18 injectors compensates for the lack of signal from the M13 ECU. as previously mentioned i think the inlet restrictions are responsible for a lot of power loss, even in a M13.

He was running it with the 1.3 throttle body, I've run both TBs and there's a huge difference in performance when you swap to the Liana TB.

Yep,running 1.8 TB now, waaaay better. Like I said before I dont need to give it heaps now because im finding it really efficient and a hoot to drive. Fingers crossed for the Trans. Time will tell.
