Hi Guys,

Im cleaning my carby at the moment as i have been having problems with it problems with it,
I have taken it out of the car and was wondering what would be the best way to clean the whole lot with? (fark all $$$ so cant get carby cleaner)
It is about 2cm thick of greasy dirt all around carby, also is the accelerator pump supposed to shot a continuous stream of fuel? mine sprays the fuel rather than shooting a continuous stream.

Also on my starter motor, are the ends of the pinion gear supposed to be slightly rounded?
Mine look a bit too rounded :?

Thanks,

Petrol and a old tooth brush will get most of it off.
Not to sure about the accelerator jet, see how it is after a clean.
As long as the starter motor is engaging fine, I wouldn't worry about it.
