just had a rebuild on my 93 sierra carb, now ive found hen i drive at a higher speed for a while around 80km/h and slow down and put the clutch in the idle is slow and jjust about stalls, however when turned back on again, idle is fiine... any ideas?

How long ago did you have the rebuild, and who did the rebuild??

IMO carby rebuilds are a black art, if it wasn't done by a bonafide carby pro then there is so much that could have gone wrong. I rebuilt my own carby (I'm no carby pro) and largely it wasn't a great idea. I never got idle right, it would idle very high or very low and nothing in between. After a while it seemed to settle down, was never really great but it got heaps better. My guess is the piston wasnt sliding well making the idle vary. But that was only a guess.
