Is there an AZ cheat sheet for removing the front diff from a J20 GV that is far less painful that it seems? Every time I think about pulling the housing again I dread the two hour game of tetris I have to play in order to get it back in as it seems to hit three points at once (mount, sump and crossmember) and won't just slide in like it does with the V6s.
Any shortcuts would be great as the rest of the process is a half hour job at worst. I have even thought about removing an engine mount or two and jacking/lifting the engine slightly to make it easier as it probably only needs 10-15mm more room to be a 10 second job.

Can you pull mount off cross member and off housing like in the SV's? Pull Driver's CV, pull all bolts and cross member mount, drop out with trolley jack and pull Driver's CV out while lowering?
I pull everything off. Getting it out is never an issue; it's getting the bare housing back in place that's always a drama. I'm pretty sure it's just a GV thing (and I've seen it mentioned elsewhere; just can't find it.)
