G,day all...does any one on here know where or who that can re-program or fe-flash a factory Jimny ECU???? Can this be done at all. I think I have my M18A problem sorted if only I can get the ecu sorted.
Every time I start my car(hot or cold) it runs sluggish until it has travelled a few k's now apparantly I have been told its due to the o2 sensor running a closed loop until it reaches normal operating temp in which it then gives the correct A/F ratio and away she goes, and it eally does go good when running properly.
Any ideas appreciated

Actually at work tonight I remembered that some people were having troubles with the 02 sensor after extractors had been installed! Me too,so any ideas on how to sort out this problem? Bring it out or make it go in a bit further into the extractor?
I'm guessing that this could be the issue but it certainly started after my extractors were fitted?
Thoughts appreciated

P.s. My extractors are the wildcat brand

Do you read the replies to your other threads? I suggested it back then.

G,day watermouse...your absolutely right mate...i completely forgot about that,thanks...I had a look today and yep,the o2 is sitting out a bit but im reluctant to have a go at it myself as i dont have a tap and die set so if I could manage to get my grinder down there,im worried it may mess up the thread and then not be able to put the o2 sensor back in. So I booked it in next week to have a scantool put on it to make sure this is the problem as so far I have no fault codes or engine lights appearing so it may be something else too? You never know, and i'll take it from there. However I did find out that there is 1 company in Adelaide that is quite certain that he can re-program the factory ECU,but its around $1500 to do that..ouch...that is very much a last resort and may not need it.

Tap and die set is a hell of a lot cheaper than 1500.

How true ^ that is...I will wait to see what this scan tool brings up,it may not be the O2? The technician said there's a couple of possibilities. It's going in Monday,I'll post what is found.
