I had a small oil leak and thought that to compensate, I should put extra oil in my engine. After driving for about 10-15kms, I heard a sunken noise and then this rattling to follow it that didnt go away. The rattling increases with the engine revs, I checked around the fan, nothing is hitting and it sounds internal to the engine.

I would say an extra litre or two more. I was in a rush as I had a fight with my ex at the time and had to leave asap.

Might take the cover off this afternoon.

Have you checked the oil level?
That's a lot of extra oil to add.
Remove excess oil if there is too much, and then see if there is more problems to fix.
