Have had the the Vitara on car ramps sitting underneath it for a good 10 minutes with with my work light shining at the oil soaked area no sign of where oil is coming from, was trying to diagnose is it was dripping down from valve covers or whatever.
Get up from under the car, rev it to 2500 for 30 seconds at most, and there is a river of oil coming down from in front of the bell housing cover plate (not the bell hosuing drain hole)
So it seems to me like i might have a blocked PCV causing the seal to push out under revs ??

Interesting, when I had my engine out last year for the rear main my pcv valve was all gummed up. I soaked it in petrol for a few days and got it working again. I tried to source one similar at my local auto parts store but they had no listing or nothing the same size/specs. I then found its a genuine part? And suzuki want over $40 from memory and it wasn't in stock. So i just stuck with mine and made sure whilst the rocker covers were off I drilled extra drain holes in the baffles.
