Hey guys,

I've had my 4.24 rock monster gears fitted for over 2 years now and they have been amazing.

Only recently has low range started making a gear noise. It's not the typical whirring of the reduction but a gear Mesh noise. You can hear as each tooth on a gear meshing the other gear like a tug tug tug tug and increases with speed but is more noticeable and loud in 2nd and 3rd low range.

Straight away I dropped the oil for a change out and notice the oil was very metallic and shiny aswell as a single ball bearing sitting on the sump plug!!!

Any advice appreciated!

Time for a rebuild.
