I remember a few years ago I saw a small Suzuki tray truck/van, I think it was a Carry in 4WD, anybody know anything about these, engines, 4x4 system, hi-lo etc, capability off road, any mods that can be done to them, could be good for a small cab over camper project, any info would be great, Barbender

Suzistore have one that used to belong to Mr Rocky on here. I've driven it a few times. It's VERY fun to drive!

Not sure about the newer models but the 80's and 90's ones get modified a lot in Japan. the 00's that i've driven (Van and ute) have an m13 in them. No llow range, just full time 4wd.

I think Daihatsu hi-jet 4wd's are easier to find.

The late carry traybacks are definitely single speed AWD- no pretence of off road use.

A hot tip for you Barbender, there is a bloke who lives in Lara who has accumulated a bit of a collection of these 4x4 Carry's. He has a whole paddock full of them as well as other random car junk. I'll send you the details in a PM if your interested? Just let me know.
