Ordering the front Vitara wheel bearings (for the rear disc conversion) and a little confused as there seems to be two types.

Ball bearing type


Roller bearing tapered which is the same as what came out of the hubs I have but unsure of this brand.


My understanding is that the tapered roller bearing type is the preferred replacement?

i would just match what ever came out. hit up a bearing place and tell them what number they are and they should be able to match them with a good brand in the same type

Yep dropped by today and grabed the tapered roller style. Funny though, he pulled two kits off the shelf both with the same part numbers on the box and both boxes identical. One was rollers other was ball bearing type. Go figure.
