Hey all,
New to the forum and to Suzuki 4WDs.
I have just been handed the father in-laws 1985 LWB Sierra. It has been sitting idle for a while so a rebuild will be on the cards so hopefully I can get some handy tips from you guys as this is my first Sierra.
Just have to work out why it doesn't get power to the starter. Everything else has power but no noise when the key goes to start.
So please be patient with my future probably silly questions.
Also check connection on the battery terminals. I had that happen numerous times, where the dash lights work, but as soon as you try and crank, nothing.
Check they're tight, and even back them off and wiggle them around on the terminals and retighten. They may not be making a good enough connection , especially if it's been sitting a while.

Ah 85 LWB!! My favourite!! Post pics
Ok, no sound doesn’t mean no power at the starter. Just means nothings happening.
Firstly I’d check your fuses and earth from the starter to negative terminal of the battery.
Have you got a multimeter? If your earth is good and your fuses are intact then start checking where you do and don’t have power. Work your way back from there
