Hi all, I fantasize about fitting 31s on my 2000 LWB Grand Vitara.
The current status is: 29" tyres 3.5 inch lift done right (correct length struts and bumpstops) Twin locked low range gears 4Xfour art front lower control arms J23A swapped Manual transmission
Setup as a long weekend warrior/overlander
I already bought a pair of BT50 front axle shafts to make hybrid shafts, but worried about the rear end.. is there any solution for the rear axle shafts?
Mine (and several others in group) ran a similar setup with minimal issues.
Factory steel offset. Steering lock stops. (the crossmember /chassis will catch your tires, and pop CV's) A big hammer and grinder for clearancing. not much is needed. Panhard mount needs re-doing to help handling above 2" lift.
Front axles you get good at swapping. 20mins max. Rear axles dont like being locked, especially in high grip situations. Stronger custom axles start stripping crownwheels.
245/75/16 every so slightly smaller than a 31" 31x10.5x16 fitted the same.
235/85/16 I couldnt find a car that had them to test fit on mine.
