As You know I crashed the white 94 sierra, parents were going to sell it... but they decided to keep it, and use it as spares for the blue hardtop..... Still drives ok.... just had a bit of a vibration.. until a friend of dad's put the motor back on the engine mount fully and straightened it a few weeks ago. m Motor ended up half on the mount... due to the force of the crash Oh and pulled right outrigger out so, it still drives around the yard, great to teach my friend how to drive a manual who has only driven an auto on his driving lessons lol, good experience for him

Just get another chassis. Its way easier than repairing them.

how do you know its bent if you dont know how much?
if its related to your avatar pic and its just the bumper support, dont worry about it, everyone chops them off

Yes that's the one in my avatar, I ran my hand down the chassis and felt it was very uneven, also the front spring mound and spring are all bent to buggery, that can be replaced, not sure about the chassis tho!

Measure distances from corners And compare measurements with straight chassis measurements?

The chassis is uneven stock. They have ripples in the chassis from the original bending process, You really need pics so we can have a looky!

My 04 chassis was bent in an accident and was straightened. Being a GV had to go on a 'rig' big enough(so they told me at the time). Not sure of cost, covered under insurance and if I had my way would have wrote it off.

She'll be right, that'll buff out...
Did Pete have a look and confirm that it is indeed bent?

Why did the windscreen wipers stop?
Why did having the hazards on flatten the battery?
Why didn't you keep the engine running if the battery was crap?
Take a pic from underneath showing the two chassis rails at the front.
It's too hard to say one way or another if the rail is bent with all the other mangled crap in the road.
Before you get too far it might be a good idea to confirm that the rail is actually bent, and its not just you think its bent. People have already said that it will feel lumpy from the factory.
Give Pete a call and get him to take a look, if he knows half of what people say it will be heaps easier than measuring diagonals of a chassis that is still whole.

I've gotta say the pics don't make it look like a chassis-bending smash...

the simplest way to do it is get under there and measure from where the back of the front spring mounts to where the shackle attaches to teh chassis IN A STRAIGHT LINE on both sides, if those measurements are the same its likely still fine
if they arent it will probably still drive ok anyway if the springs arent bent
