What did you do to do that ? (I don't drive nearly as crazy as you so I should be right, but if you weren't doing anything too rough I may have to get these as well) :D

Hey guys, I know this might be something your all aware of, but this might be one of the only batches made. The prices i've been able to get for us are only due to the number I'm getting. I got a good discount from the bloke making up axles and LROR knocked $50 off each CV for us. Armsup

I'm waiting on only one person to reply to my PM before I close the deal and start paying for everything.

Sorry to be a pain guys, but can I have a total cost of everything (broken down and inc postage)

I just want to see what sort of coin I have when I get to work today.

How much are we saving ?

Again, sorry to be a pain.

I am still unsure weather I need the spacers. I have sierra hubs with no spacers (i grinded down the lip). Are the spacer there only to allow for the extra length of the double tuff stub or is that going to be cut down to a jimny length?

They are Sierra cromos from lowrange. They are longer then Jimny therefore need a spacer to aloud the cv to fit in.

thanks all for the education on the floater setup!

It's not a new concept. Here's how Chev explained the difference between their 1935 Semi-Floating axle and the 1936 Full-Floater. Exactly the same as modern 4wd's!

Hey guys, Monley doesn't have a need for a set of chromo's anymore as his jimnyless.

So a set has become available!

Last page has prices, but due to a few changes, there incorrect.

So first in best dressed, $1000 posted to your door.

Don't bother PMing me if your going to haggle and waste my time.

Josh.

I'll put my few cents in.

Firstly heat treating items (from my experiance) generaly expands them about 2 thou. A lot of cheap off the shelf axles are made from materials that are already hardened and have the splines rolled. Not a good thing for the ultimate axle but may work ok in 90% of applications.

The most cost efective system to use in a Jimny would be aftermarket CV's (won't say chromos as most alloy steels are 'chromo') and custon inner axles. Don't even waste your time keeping then inners 22 spline.

Don't use Sierra knuckles on a Jimny. Jimny axles flex when sitting on tarmac and have thier knuckles machined for camber accordingly. Sierra knuckles will give waaay too much camber.

You can't improve on a standard axle or CV by having it re-heat treated. Those that offer that service are taking you for a ride. I have spent a large amount of $ getting things cut and analised to see if any improvements can be made on stock stuff....answer....no. If you want to improve on stock make it from better shit. In the case of a CV this is a heap of cash in equipement. Stock components are generally plain carbon steel that has been induction hardened...which means it is not through hardened. Alloy steels offer the ability to through harden given better results.

Axles can be made from all sorts of exotic stuff. Keeping them straight during hardening requires the right research and the correct equipment.

I'll share some images of the new front diff I am doing for a friends Jimny. Custom housing, Custom EN36A axles and my custom CV's.

Note: I can make the inner axles for $500 pair which icludes certification for both materials used and heat treating.

Still working at it.

Yeah, Monley still owns them, I just figured it was the best place to advertise them.

More emails to customs and stuff. I can't believe how unorganized customs are and the chase I've had to do :(

Joe are you having a go at what's on offer here?

The CVs are proven, and the axles are heat treated HyTuff. 50% stronger then chromoly.

Unless that was a shameless plug

It probably was a plug that will take 2 years to produce.

I've been asked a number of times to run another batch, so I'm just putting the feelers out again for running another set of Jimny Chromo CVs.

Would be spacers, hub bolts/cones, axle clip, Chromoly CV, HyTuff Axle. $1000.

Seeing as there are allot more jimny's out running then last time I figured people might be keen again.

Reply or PM me.
