use inox, wd40 and so on conducts electricity

permatex make a grease you can use to seal plug boots with, vaseline also conducts electricity and will melt before you get up to operating temp

though its probably better to find and fix the problem, shouldnt be happening even when almost swamped, its not like all the ignition stuff isnt higher than the intake

Thats the way. Give your dizzy cap a belt with a hammer and see if that helps.

I had a coily that hated water. Evertime I went through a water hole it would play up for the next week. Tried everything and could never work out what it was.
Nowadays I just avoid water where I can.
