Just to revive this

I've had a horror run with toyo bearings on the jackshaft.
One set lasted less than 1000km.
It was wearing the shit out of the end and almost spat an end cap.

I put in another batch and there was slop, the shaft could move up and down a bit. It got worse and worse, on a slight test run.

Both sets had a little play and one uni (which almost spat an end cap) looked to be machined crooked. Total pieces of shit.
Out of desperation, I found a set of used 30yr old koyo (which I pulled out of an old shaft) and all good.

Im so annoyed with the toyo shit bearings, doing preventative maintenance and getting fucked in the face

^^been there done that. Currently using GMB universal joints. ~40thou on them and they are still going.
