im running lux springs in the rear, zooks in the front. Im having heaps of probs with vibrations. I rotated the diff to point to the transfer, im running lux shafts, with double cardon joints, but still having HEAPS of dramas. Im about to take my rear lux diff out, and gotta change it with a bundera housing. Cause bunderas are off centre. grr.

if you pionted the rear center at the transfercase that is prob half your problem. the unis need to be on the same angle. if the out put ont your transfer is flat your input of the diff needs to be flat.

All true, but he mentioned he's got a Hilux double cardan shaft in there.

still needs to do it, the double cardan will help with the angle of the shaft from the case to the diff but the extra angle of the diff pointing up is one angle to much for the unis

Zookernator , the rason your having proplems is your tailshaft has to cope with two angle's , one up and down and one sideways , you uni's will fight each other 4 ways instead of 2. Changing the diff housing will fix your problem but with the ammount of flex you have you will still find you will have uni problems.

I made a new mount for my transfer which I angled down at the rear slightly and sideways to line up the shaft. This would be a cheaper option if you can fabricate new mounts. My tailshaft s now sit in line with the front and rear diff flanges. I run solid mounts and don't have any vibrations , Cheers Paul.

Thanks MART.. Any chance of see-ing a pic please?? I understand fully what your saying, I could also get away with running 2x DC shafts.. but i have to much flex for them. Thats why i thought if i put this bundera housing under, im only working with 1 angle difference.. and my DC shaft should take that up. I reckon i'll still face the diff flange to the transfer flange, only because i know my uni/DC joint wont crash while the vehicle is flexed.. where if i made both the flanges paralel, big chance the DC joint wont have enough angle!!! What a pain!!
