it's not ment to be flush against the A pillar, there should be a consistent 5-7mm'ish gap from the bottom of the A pillar up.

Yeah snorkel itself fits perfect, but the holes on the bracket on the A pillar needed to be shifted slightly. All done though. Will place up a how to and what I would have done different once I have the pipework connected to the air filter.

Because the G16B snorkel pipe that goes into the engine is about 40mm to short, I need a rubber joiner/extender. But the snorkel pipe is that stupid tear drop shape.

I had the same problem when I fitted my Safari snorkel. I turned up an adapter from nylon that goes between the stock rubber and the airbox and sealed it all with RTV

The factory hose actually fits, but I don't think it would be water proof...

Do I need to block that 20c sized hole underneath the factory airbox inlet? It used to have a short pipe connected to the heat shield on the exhaust.
If so any clever ideas? I was thinking of using a milk cartoon lid, I think it would be about the right size!

Called into autobarn this morning to pick up some silicone pipe. I need a 2.75" hose to connected to the snorkel and a 2.75" to 2.5" adapter hose to connect to the airbox. Will then get an exhaust shop to bend up a bit of 2.75" stainless pipe to go in the middle.

BUT autobarn want about $50 per silicone piece!!! Anyone know anywhere cheaper to get this stuff??

Well snorkel is finally complete! Got the a stainless pipe welded up at my exhaust shop Very happy with the overall result despite the hassles.
Free plug for AM Performance, they do AWESOME work, did a full stainless exhaust for my Legnum.

Airbox? I'm not following you... the only thing I changed was the factory intake pipe. The actual MAF and air filter box is all factory.
