hey guys, ive got a 94 tin top with a g16b and have just put ome HD springs in the front and normal ome in the rear, the rear feels quite soft, i can bottom them out by jumping on the rear bar, should i swap them for HD springs aswell, both running nitrocharger shocks.

Most people are begging for their rear springs to be that soft, but if you have a hardtop and a rear bar I would have thought the OME reseller would have recommended HD rear springs.

Depends how You use it.
I ran stiffer fronts than rears on my Sierra,
mainly to help with steering on road.
Off road that was a loss.
The front being heavier may soften the front springs in time?
I never carried much weight,
so I was happy with light duty rear springs.
Later I fitted HD spring to the right rear,
helped a lot off road.
As thats the side most Sierra weight is,
and thats the way the engine torques, too.
This helped with climbing.

the rear bar is minimal, like 10, 15kg max, spare tyre will be coming off, they feel real good, just wondering the they will sag to quick and what not, i very rearly carry gear, i have not had experience with these springs before, do you know of any issues of the normal springs sagging too quick?

They should't sag significantly if you leave the packs alone. They are scragged out of the factory - which basically means they are overcompressed in a controlled environment, so they shouldn't sag once installed.

There's a car running in our club that has "normal" duty OME springs from the late 80's in it and they still hold their height fine.

If you are happy with the height the car is sitting, then don't upgrade to HD springs - it will sit too high and ride harshly.

As an aside though, consider that leaf springs don't just support the weight of the car, they also locate the axle. Whilst very soft springs will ride really well, they aren't as resistant to axle wrap. when we add big tyres, lower gearing and lockers, it's easy to overwhelm a soft spring and experience significant axlewrap, which would never have been an issue with a mechanically standard car.

Just something to consider.
