I would have thought the compressed spring would put such a force on the shackle pins to push them to their longest position in the elongated holes (the shackle would be in tension). This would effectively put the shackle back to standard length or longer therefore not explaining the problem at hand. Either way you need new shackles. Damo bought some the other day online and got them within days. His thread should be on the 1st or second page.
I don;t know what they would be off but they must be the wrong springs. Try ringing a different ARB and asking for ome rears to suit and ask what their product code is. Have your spring or shackle hangers been modified in any way?

ummm.....no. with the weight on the car the pins will assume the shortest length. put some good shackles in and see how it goes then.

the shackle is under compression nearly all the time. if you were to undo and take out one of your shackle bolts the end of the spring would move towards the front of the car.
found that out the fun way

Sorry, I thought the force of the spring trying to lengthen as its compressed would put it in tension when its locked back against the chassis like that.

hi all
i have just fitted a set of 4 2" EFS rear springs in my sierra WT and in the front i have the same problem. but with my 2" dobson springs they are half inch shorter than EFS in the main spring, so i changed the main spring out of the dobson spring into the EFS spring and now the shackle doesnt flip back
why i changed from dobson springs to EFS is EFS gives me another inch taller than the dobson.

I'd have kept the longer leafs and fixed the problem.the longer leafs would give a better ride and better droop on the diffs.

looks like your perfectly setup for that shorter leaf.
maybe a longer shackle is you only option to run that main leaf, as I doubt you will want to move a mount again.
Ps nice build tread mate

if your spring does invert though it is not like every one else. flex the car up in 'controlled conditions' to check the full range of the shackles angles to make sure it will not invert some time out the bush
