A guy buys a neat, functional, inconspicuous, quality item that costs $50 more than your average DIY bike filter setup and less than most eBay kits. Everybody loses their minds. Another guy spends $1500 on tyres to impress his mates and people on the internet. No body cares, business as usual.

You should know if somethings well finished, its not a 4wd.

That general area is covered in mud on my car and also dosent allow you to put loops in the lines. Is theres statement on the filtration capacity on those sintred filters? I mean its not going to be a massive quantity of dust and its probably better then a stock breather.

ARB filter is tidy so if he has the bucks why not. Plenty of noobs go crazy spending big $$$ on stuff their mates told them they need so I fail to see the big deal here.
My first breather filter was an old plastic lunch box with foam from an old pillow. Did the job but looked shitty.

It's not a big deal - it's his money - he can spend it however he chooses - just don't try to convince us it wasn't the snob - oops, sorry bling - factor.

Was $75 with all fittings and hose for diffs/gearboxs off ebay a couple years back. Why? because it was shiny and looks good in my engine bay. Waterboard him! They aren't a bad buy IMO. That way he can put the work boat in and go fishing.

I use small small inline carby 6mm fuel filters, cut one nipple off you have a metal gauz filter thats viewable with a plastic casing to repel water spray. 7 bucks each.
