I haven't seen it, but It's had a small side impact and a little bit in the front, but all so the body is stuffed but all good parts, running gear and motor.

Just read the build up. 5 inches of lift would do it.

I think I'll stick with 29's. I like going around corners fast.

Back on topic....

What are auto lockers like on wet bitumen? Thinking about getting one for the back of mine but wondering if it will be too sketchy for the wife to drive.

How good a driver is she??

I don`t like em for a mainly street car, save up for air... I`m thinking of a Lsd for the bum of mine as i don`t do alot of 4bying, air in the front.

I've done some cutting, Grinding and lifting and they rub a little on full flex, but its not too bad, gives a good grip on terra ferma.
Front rubs on full lock so it now has a turning circle of a B-Double, but it doesn't worry me too much as its not my daily drive, just a weekender.

So did I !! It`s just a tight open center, bit on the rare side for a factory fit in oz. Put it on dirt or wet bitchemun & she spin`s both, but it open!!

an lsd from japan would be way more expensive than an air locker, and will give you no where near the benefits.

try fitting 34's............!

i don't have build up pics but i'll give you some specs.

originaly a 2.0 litre 4 pot. i converted it to a 2.7 litre v6.

runs dual transfers with hilux t/case.
60mm body lift.
50mm ome springs.
50mm suspension spacers including bumpstops etc.
front arms lowered 50mm.
front rack and pinion lowered 50mm.
front diff lowered 50mm.
front and rear air lockers.
engineered for 31's.
custom winch cradle.

will not do one ever again as its not worth it. running 30's and after market gear is fine, anything above that is trouble. and this vehicle was inspected by vicroads engineers themselves and passed, but i was politely asked not to do another!

there is no machining to the sierra carrier, just the inner cv shank on the drivers side. if using an rd 88 this is not required.

Ok boys.....Game On!!!! I now have the 5.12 diffs and the cash for the front locker. What do I need next? I will be ordering the ARB locker tomorrow, what else do I need to make it work.
ARB will be installing it, I need to know about CV's, Drive shafts etc,
I dont want to have to machine anything as it is to difficult if I break somthing, just want to mix and match with GV and Vitara parts.

So between 2 dick heads, one that knows stuff about shit and one that knows shit about stuff, we should be able get this thing done, build a bullet proof front diff with locker,no leaks and all the right parts, so as we can then put up a thread informing all the other dick heads how its done so then we can put this baby to bed knowing it should never be an issue for any dick head ever again and go back to talking about shit.
