I am too tired to think out the technicalities at the moment, maybe someone can explian it better, but when you are driving the vehicle creates a low pressure area behind it which causes the toxic exhaust gases to be sucked into the cabin area of the car. If you are running no roof or you have a roof that finishes at the "b" pillar like a bimini top you don't have the problem because the low pressure area is now where your back seat is not behind your tailgate where the exhaust is. Also the wind blowing around the cabin area disipates any fumes that may lick back in..

Hey ScrawnC sorry I missed all the replys on this thread but mine is 2.5" stainless with a 3" dumper out back just for laughs but sounds good and looks tough :lol:
