Im heading home tomorrow, land at lincoln at 8-30pm, blast, recon as I will be fanging hard early next day, then go see if my 1.3l bonnet is ready, then back for another play.

Was going to go for a virtual lift, but that is now in the too hard basket compared to a 2" body lift, then, when next home, me bigger tyres will be waiting.

Dropping a 1.6l in will help till I get the wt diffs in, will keep the 4.11 gear in till the diffs arrive, then do the 5.12s and other stuff.

The pic you showed waaaay back, lets one believe that the tyre is bigger by far.

I don't like them as the pattern is too square, go down, and you are one a smooth sidewall. I love a round tread, not square. Ok, rocks n shit, yes, mud-sand, no.

this pattern(simex/silverstone) is by far , yes by a massive amount the best in real mud barr none of any tyre you can get.
and you really cant use mud and sand in the same example as they are nothing alike traction or drive wise.

atari can you measure your tyres from the ground to the top, the supplier reckons they are 30.4 inches tall..... i just wanna clarify that haha

I weighed one of my Insa Turbo tyres the other day... on a 15x7 sunny it weighed 34.3kgs

Are buyers and users of these Insa Turbo Special tyres still happy now time has passed?
Didn't see them at 4wd show this year, but could have missed them easily.

mine still seem fine, they haven't been used since last winter... they're noisy even when fitted to the trailer.

My tyres are starting to wear out.
Still lots of road legal left, just a bit bald off road.
Thought I'd research a bit before tyres are needed.

Happy with my Federal Couragias all round so far.
Probably easier and cheaper to stick to what I got.

Need some highway and high country testing with trailer on,
see if it copes in high range with the size it has, before deciding.

Off road could easily upsize to 33's with the crawler gears.

I have a set of 285/75-16 INSA on my 100 series landcruiser. Used them in the high country and are great. I have in the past used Centipedes and Silverstone X-tremes and the INSA are just as good for about half the price. They all balanced up really well and have worn(lasted) the same. just my 2cw

Went thru my stock pile out the back.
Still got 2 perfectly suitable remoulded mudders.

Right size to match the 2 tyres I have with good tread.
Think I can't justify money spending on new tyres yet.

Thats a later thing, once I run out of spares.

Interestingly, 1 mudder I have fitted is much smaller than the other 3 tyres.
So using 4 tyres same diameter could be helpful, too

They were about $175 each, fitted and balanced, but that was 4 0r 5 years ago.
Widetrack tyres in Lilydale and FTG stocked them.
