Are you sure it's the pod filter improving throttle response, or removing restrictive pipe work? And are you happy to reduce filter efficiency in order to improve throttle response? Wouldn't a better solution be a larger filter with increased piping diameter? Then you're not trading off filtration efficiency for flow.

Yes I think u would be correct ...... the pod i suppose is less air restricting so therefor one would think that it dosnt filter the air aswell .biger filters and pipe work should deliver more clean air to the engine

larger surface area filters provide less restriction without compromising filtration capacity/ efficiency.
oiled filters by design (and through physics) use electrostatic principals to catch dust on oil. this works great on 10 micorn and above particles (if you oil the filter correctly. the electrostatic effects diminish as particle size decreases.
as such oiled filters will work great around coal mines, but shithouse around ladraritic ore mines such as bauxite and nickel mines. obviously the dertier the filter the less effectively it works as the sticky oil becomes caked on, and there is no available sticky surface area to grab new particles.
new paper filters can also let through particles, however as the particles acumulate on the filter you get better filtration, by formation of a filter cake. this is 5-10 micron materiel trapped on the filter, that stops the <1 micron duct that otherwise wouldn't be caught by the filter.
