I really dont think you should go back there to that guy in Bunbury ever again, it really sounds like he didnt know what to do on a Zook...

Come to Perth next time and go to the Suzistore in Midland, they really know their Zooks !

Seriously though, from what you've just described, he's charged you almost $1000 from something he originally quoted a lot less for, and won't warrant it. I think he has well and truly screwed you, using vaseline with sand mixed in for lubricant.

Well, it cost 130 more in the end but the car goes great.

I was using half a tank of fuel each fishing trip with beach driving and i thought, "so much for zooks being economical".

Now that the clutch is fixed, the same trip barely took me out of full.

Just glad its done. A bit cheaper would have been nice but shit happens.

Its good that its running well now, but the fact that he wont warranty his own work, says heaps about him !!!!!
If you have a receipt from him for the work, the trade practices act, says he has to rectify all faults at his own cost !!!

But as i said, he really is not a good mechanic, and i would advise NOT to go back to him again !

It will be very interesting to see just how long your Zook runs well...
