The srpings are 1 month old.

That arm going from the steering box to the first ball joint has a bend of about 10mm in the over all lenght?

That would do it right?

Royce: when fitted the springs i measured the gurad hieght is was 775mm after i fiited the springs and now it's droped to 755mm.

20mm drop in ride height is a big drop... you're talking almost 1".

perhaps a slight bend in the steering arm from your big rut combined with suspension sagging is whats going on?

take pics of the arms and perhaps someone else with a jimny can confirm if its normal or not.

It is defintaly bent 100% sure of it.

The only way u can see the bend is against a straight edge.

Whats the arm called?

I will be needing a new one soon.

Unbolt the shaft and check the splines for damage

Take a pic of the bit you think you have bent....is it the pitman arm? or the draglink?

That arm the RTC bracket is on.
